Limits
See your plan's rate limits, how close each key is to them, and ask for more.
The Rate limits screen shows what your plan allows, what each key is configured for, how much of it is in use right now, and why requests were refused in the last day. It is also where you ask for a higher limit. Anyone who can sign in to the organization can read it. Asking for an increase needs a role that can change keys: owner, admin or member.
If you have a project selected in the console, the screen shows that project's keys.
What the screen shows
Three panels at the top:
- Plan ceiling: the most requests per minute, tokens per minute and concurrent requests a key on your plan can have, and how many keys and projects the plan allows.
- 429s in the last 24 h: how many requests your own limits refused, split by which limit it was. If analytics are temporarily unavailable, the panel says so.
- Provider capacity 429s: refusals where the provider had no capacity and the router retried or failed over. These are shown apart because they are not your limit and are not counted against you.
Below, Per key has one row for each key:
- Key: the name, which opens the key's page. A badge says when the key is not active, and at plan ceiling when one of its limits already equals the plan's.
- Configured: the key's requests per minute, tokens per minute and concurrency, and its budget if it has one, marked hard or soft.
- Live (5 s): how much of each limit is in use at the moment. The bar turns amber and then red as the key nears a limit. When live figures cannot be read, the heading shows gauges unavailable.
- Spend today / month.
Headers on every response lists the rate limit headers each API response carries, including the one that says which limit refused a request. The full explanation is in rate limits.
